On 26 July 2024, the Centre for Leadership and Professional Development (UM LEAD), received a delegation from the Leadership Institute of Sarawak Civil Service Sdn. Bhd (LISCS).
In a bid to enhance leadership standards, the Leadership Institute of Sarawak Civil Service Sdn. Bhd (LISCS), embarked on a journey to benchmark UM LEAD, known for its model leadership programs and strategies. LISCS aims to draw insights and strategies from UM LEAD's successful initiatives, paving the way for enhanced leadership development within the civil service sector of Sarawak.
Head of Leadership Development Research Centre (LDRC), Ms. Dzurina Razuan said this benchmarking exercise means a commitment to continuous improvement and learning, ensuring that LISCS remains at the forefront of leadership excellence.
Impressed by what they witnessed, LISCS recognized UM LEAD not only as a model of leadership excellence but also as a source of inspiration for their own initiatives back in Sarawak.
The benchmarking session ended on a very positive note and LISCS is a very interested in sending participants for Purposeful and Principled Leadership (PPL) Programme that begin end of July.
July marks UM LEAD’s first anniversary since its launching. Within this time, LISCS’s visit is the second benchmarking exercise done by an established leadership organisations in the country. The university's support is essential for achieving this recognition.
